Andy Robertson Injury

Liverpool's Robertson Injured Ahead of Euro 2024

Injury Update

Klopp's Message

Liverpool and Scotland's Andy Robertson has undergone surgery on an ankle injury after falling after a collision with Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon during Scotland's recent international clash. Robertson, who has 71 caps for Scotland, was forced to leave the field during the match and has since undergone an operation.

The 29-year-old defender has now provided an update on his recovery, revealing that he received a text message of support from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

"Klopp texted me after the operation and said, 'Get well soon, mate'," Robertson told the Scottish FA website. "That was a nice touch from him."

Robertson is now focusing on his rehabilitation and hopes to be back in action as soon as possible. "I'm working hard on my rehab and I'm hoping to be back playing soon," he said. "I'm determined to get back to my best and help Liverpool and Scotland achieve our goals."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke will be keeping a close eye on Robertson's progress ahead of Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany. Robertson is a key player for both club and country and his absence would be a major blow to both teams.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be hoping to have Robertson back fit and ready for the start of the 2023/24 season. The Reds are looking to challenge for the Premier League title and will need Robertson's experience and quality in their bid to lift the trophy.
